How did you get started in the wedding industry?
Like most wedding planners, I have been the go-to planner and organizer for most of my friends and family long before starting my business. In 2009 I planned my first event and the thrill and excitement I gained from it motivated me to seek opportunities to be involved in all wedding and event opportunities that crossed my path. In 2017 I officially started my business after freelancing and assisting other planner’s projects for almost 10 years and I’ve had the true honor to work with multiple incredible couples since!

what’s your design approach?
My design approach is interactive, collaborative and personal. My ultimate goal is for your wedding day to look and feel like you. I achieve this by individualizing every detail while balancing soft neutrals with dynamic bold accents and textures.
tell me more about your adorable dogs! kai and hula seem great!
They are seriously the BEST and are also such a handful! Kai is a Labrador and Dachshund mix and Hula is a German Sheppard mix adopted from Russia. Both have a ton of energy and they keep us on our toes constantly!
Do you have a core team?.
I sure do! The “& Co.” of by Alysa Monét are two very important people in my life! My husband acts as my Logistics Manager and my sister is my Lead Production and Design Assistant. Both have been working with me exclusively since I started my business in 2017 and each contribute something special to your wedding day. Depending on the size of your wedding, I also have incredible Associate Production and Design Assistants who you may meet and will no doubt love working with! what can i expect from you and your team on the wedding day?
You can expect lots of laughter and fun from me and my team. We’ll show up on time, dressed sleekly in black, and probably will be jamming out to some Beyonce while we get things set up behind the scenes!
When can we get started?
Whenever you’re ready! If you’ve already booked your wedding venue, we’ll jump deep into planning around the 6-9 month mark. If you’re currently on the hunt for the perfect venue, we’ll get started ASAP! Contact us here to get started!

why is hiring a wedding planner important?
I’m of course biased but I think that hiring a wedding planner can significantly impact your engagement experience in a positive way. Most couples that I work with encounter various levels of stress and anxiety associated with wedding planning. There are so many decisions to make, so many emails to answer, sooo many questions and uncertainties to figure out and occasionally couples feel that the joy and bliss of engagement is overshadowed by the stress of wedding planning. Hiring a wedding planner can help make sure you fully enjoy your engagement season and your wedding day and are not preoccupied with the tedious details and instead, entirely focused on the joyful experience!
What does the design consultation process consist of?
I love to start by scrolling through your Pinterest page, the photo gallery on your phone, or wherever you’ve been collecting wedding inspo, to get a sense of your design preferences. I’m much more of a visual learner than I am an auditory one so walking through photos that appeal to you helps me get a sense of your aesthetic, interests, and dislikes. Once we’ve scrolled through your Pinterest pins over coffee (or mimosas?!), I’ll ask you to permanently log out of your Pinterest account until your wedding day is over! Pinterest can be a black-hole for wedding inspiration and can result in a cookie-cutter wedding if referenced too often.
